「青年違法防治現況與前瞻」國際研討會 Global Conference on Youth Crime Prevention: A Roadmap for the Future

背景 Background

香港青年協會「青年違法防治中心」今年成立第十周年，特意舉辦「青年違法防治現況與前瞻」研討會，由海外及本地專家學者，就青年違法行為的預防教育、輔導治療的應對策略等，進行跨專業分享和交流，並為業界提供具果效和具前瞻性的建議。

青年的違規犯罪行為，是常見的社會問題之一。隨著社會環境急促轉變，部分青年容易受欺騙或誘惑而誤墮法網。因此，我們必須協助青年，建立健康守法的人生。

青協邊青服務自上世紀六十年代開始，為邊緣及犯罪青少年提供支援及輔導，並持續提升服務質素及專業，針對犯罪違規、性危機及吸毒三大問題，提供整合的預防教育、危機介入與評估和輔導治療，並推動跨界別協作和研發倡導。

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKFYG Youth Crime Prevention Centre (YCPC). To mark this occasion, we are bringing together international and local experts and practitioners for a conference on Youth Crime Prevention: A Roadmap for the Future, the aim of which is to create a platform of multidisciplinary networking as we work together to make recommendations on some forward-looking strategies in tackling youth crime.

Youth delinquency is, sadly, a common feature of any society. Given the rapid changes in the world today, we are also faced with the growing challenges wrought by nefarious, toxic and deceptive temptations that have the potential to draw young people into crime or at-risk behaviours. As a result, it is our duty and responsibility to ensure that young people are provided with opportunities that will instead lead to making healthy and law-abiding life choices.

The Youth at Risk Services of The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) has been providing support and counselling services for at-risk youth and young offenders since the 1960s. We are a professional unit and focus on three main areas of youth delinquency, namely youth crime and deviance; sex-related issues and drug abuse. For these, we provide five categories of service, including prevention and education; crisis intervention and professional assessment; counselling and treatment; multi-disciplinary collaboration and advocacy.
